Ooh what a lovely weekend to be running . Pom-poms are waving on the south coast for SkiMonday , LurcherMum , and Tom-cat . I’m not racing, but very excited about my 100th parkrun tomorrow. I didn’t think that would happen when I started c25k!

Good luck everyone! SkiMonday I keep getting adverts for the Forest of Dean race, and love how they advertise it as chasing the wild boar and muntjac deer!!! Good luck and I hope you don't come across the boar!! 😱

Thanks CLR. Living a bit further away, I didn’t see any adverts for the FoD. It was a chat on here with cheekychipmunks & Irishprincess that got me thinking about it.

I think the only sign that people see of the boar are some extra tracks through the forest.

Thanks Cowladyrunning . It seems that my hill running is better than I thought! My strategy of walking up some of the steeper parts looks like it’s paid off.

With some of those hills that you’ve been training on I would have thought that you’d be in a good position to take on the FoD.

During my forest walk with our dog this afternoon part of the track had been churned up in a way that made me suspect wild boar rather than deer Cowladyrunning . I've very, very occasionally spotted boar in fields after nightfall, but never seen them in the forest.

I've only seen them on side of road while driving through the Forest of Dean. More often though you just see the mess they make!
