Do you have a February event to end the winter season with a flourish?
Anyone doing the London Winter Run - in London - this year?
We'd love to know all your racing plans for February 2022, so we have the perfect excuse for a get together, dusting off our pom poms to form our Friday POM POM posse!!!
Please let us know in the comments below and we will add you to our racing fixtures list β€οΈ
Me! I have a 10 mile race on 13 February. I did this one virtually two years ago because it was cancelled due to one of the storms, Doris I think! So itβll be great to do it for real this time π
Hi linda9389 Iβm doing the London Winter Run - in London on the 13 February. It will be my first 10k event running with people and cannot wait, feeling excited π
Fabulous! I'm sure the atmosphere will be fantastic! I should have done it in 2020, but sadly bad winds caused the event to be cancelled (maybe the same storm that spoilt things for IrishPrincess!).
I have the Ryde 10 mile on the 6th Feb - sounds like a scenic course but very hilly (204m elevation gain). Looking forward to it though definitely won't be a 10 mile PB!
I've entered the Ryde 10 mile on the 6th Feb ,not sure if it's a good idea but it has a lovely medal! Some friends and I are doing a recce of the route tomorrow morning. I've done it a few times before but am really not very fit at the moment! It's pretty hilly!! π€ͺπββοΈπͺ
Don't worry, I have seen the profile! I am training for a hilly 30k so hills are very much in the training plan. Good to know there's another HUer doing Ryde, how did the recce go?
Yes it was good thanks. I haven't done more than a 10k lately and been lacking in training in recent months so its given me a bit of confidence that I should get round at least. There some really nice sections in it especially the seafront bitπ. And my legs don't feel too bad overall surprisingly π€ͺ
Hi linda9389 I'm signed up for the London Winter Run! I'm hoping for decent weather and a reasonable time, but I'll be glad just to get round anyway π As I'm going to be in London I'm taking the opportunity to catch up with friends, some of whom I haven't seen since before lockdown last year! π
Hello linda9389 ! Long time no post (although I have just done so over on Bridge to 10k! ) Still running and still in love with the trails - first event of the year in a couple of weeks - RunReigate 10k trail. It wonβt be fast but it will be pretty (the surroundings I mean, not me!π€£)
I am! I have the Pontypool 10k Home run on the 27th February. Only the second 10k I have entered and if I feel ok with it, I'm going to enter a longer race...... π
