Some of you may remember my joy at finding Hoka shoes for less than £30 in a sale. Well, after waiting 3 weeks for them to ship from China 😳, they arrived today. Aren’t they lovely? I know, you warned me linda9389 🤦🏼‍♀️ Sadly I suspect it isn’t genuine - it would have been worth so much more than I paid. It is lovely and soft though 😂😂 Lesson learnt! I’m still laughing though.

That's pretty much what happened to my daughter. Her Nike trainers could only be described as 'elfish' - a sort of red and green, where the colour bled into the Nike 'tick'. Not even close to the colour she ordered or close to being a replica! Nor anything like as smart and upmarket as yours 😍

She did get all her money back though (even argued for the exchange rate differential). She paid on debit card and claimed back through the bank (Santander); once she used the right phrasing - chargeback -it was easy. We did call Citizens Advice Bureau to find out what to do and they were really, really helpful.

Unbelievably, the company emailed my daughter and begged her to send them back half the amount as they said they were losing out on product and money 😨.

We laughed, learned and moved on.

I’ve emailed the alleged Hoka shop to say it is very nice but not what I ordered so please can they let me know when my shoes will be here! Will see if they reply and/or what they say. Will also look to get a refund. Just think, real Burberry costs £hundreds. Could’ve been a bargain 😂😂😂

If it sound too good to be true, it’s probably not true.

I must say the replacement, although fake, is quite classy. It could have been worse. You probably should notify trading standards or some other authority so they are aware.

In my defence, the Arahi 3s have been replaced and lots of places sell off old models cheap don’t they? At least I did get something and, to be fair, I would probably have happily paid £30 from M&S or Debenhams 😃
