So apologies to anyone seeing this multiple times. I'm putting it in all 3 forums. Today's run strava.app.link/JQBM7C81TW was for anyone who can't for medical reasons get out or is being held captive by mental gremlins or just feeling too down.
I took endless photos to take you all with me. I breathed in the fresh air and listened to nature (as well as P!nk in my headphones). It was a celebration of what I can acheive right now. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. Whilst we can do... we should. Rather than give ourselves a hard time for what we can't do, give credit for what we can, however small it seems.
Most of all enjoy what nature can give you. π

Oh how kind! I fear I won't be running for a few weeks at best ... quite out of the blue, didn't see it coming. You're right .. while we can do, we should. And we should take whatever positives there are. Looks like you had a great run - I've never run that far before
We rarely see it coming... and it's always awful to not be able to do what we want, when and how we want.
It was a gorgeous day, great route, if a tad tough here and there but the grin factor was massive and I took 50 photos!! Was amazed Strava let me put that many up! π
Aww, thank you GoGo_JoJo this is so lovely and thoughtful of you. I haven't ran since January due to stress and palpitations. I had a monitor fitted to trace my heart over 48 hours because when I ran, I became do out of breath. Thankfully all was okay with my heart and the palps are a part of stress, but can be helped by trying to relax. Apart from Jack if time, I just haven't hit out there, I feel I've lost my way and never wanted thst, so I hope I can return as I was doing pretty okay, for a slow runner like me, lol π€£π€£
The support on here is just lovely, lovely lovely people and your post has been like a breath of fresh air Jo Jo. Thanks lovely π xx
My pleasure π stress is so hard to deal with, even trying to make time for ourselves can cause more rather than less stress! I hope you can find a way back to nature and some time for yourself π€π€
Saw your lovely photos on Strava, felt I could've been there - thank you so much for sharing your run with us like this! I'm still struggling with the dreaded butt niggle so I'm limited to very short run/walks at the moment. Yearning to get back out on the trail, such a lovely time of year for it. Nice to be taken along with you for a while! π
I'm not on Strava, so I couldn't see the details, but I agree that there's nothing like nature to lift your spirits. I've done several slow "long runs" in the past where I've told myself that the important thing is that I'm out there moving. I'm glad you had such a good time.
I only do photos on trail runs, deliberately to stop myself missing out by going too fast. Road runs I don't bother as usually there just isn't much to get excited over. π€£
Speed isn't the biggest thing. The ratio of smiles over miles is much more important ππ
Thanks. Thatβs a lovely thought. Iβm still sidelined (and just fell cutting, scraping and bruising my good left side) so really appreciate your pics.
