Afternoon off work run π
Well done πGreat run..nice to get a mix of road and trail..
And welcome back πͺπβ¨
Long time no see ππ
Road, path and trail. Sounds like the perfect ingredients for a run πββοΈ
It was so lovely and one I've only recently discovered π
There are so many possibilities ππ
Post marathon Iβm going to do more trail. I think it conditions the body better for road races I hope ππͺπ
Virtually all of my runs are trail. Road runs do feel easier than trails and one thing I learned during the summer is that if I pick up a persistent niggle (in my case a repeat calf / peroneal injury) or take an extended break, the first steps back to fitness, for me at any rate, are best taken on roads. This came out in a discussion with an ultra runner this summer. Obvious when I thought about it; any muscles connected with balance have to work overtime on trails, your foot rarely lands the same way twice in a row and tendons and ligaments need to be stronger too.
Always nice to have an afternoon off run. Looks as though you went by some water too - lucky you! π
Nice to mix it up a bit. I love off road, the woods especially, as you know. Slower, but much kinder on the old pinsπ
You're awesome! I find trails harder π
So good GTFC !
Also, is there potential for that route to turn into a Strava art Christmas tree? π Obviously too early right now, but you know, over the next few weeks... π π€£
Love this idea π‘ π€£π€£π€£π
Good run for yesterday, I like your running motto "Steady Away" ππ
Yes Sir Alan. My mantra πππ
Good morning GTFC, just to tell you that I completed my 30th Parkrun this morning, another sub 31 minute one in a time of 30.58, lovely sunny morning to run.
Wow Al, you're getting speedy! πββοΈπ
The only place that I have had sub 31 minutes 5Ks is at Drumpellier Parkrun, it is a flat course with only a few bends, apart from one at Stirling my parkrun 5K runs times are between 31 minutes to 33 minutes.
Welcome back GTFC. That looks like a good run; nice mix of coast and country. Your average heart rate suggests that you are still very fit. In good nick as we say up here.π
That was the 3rd thing I noticed...1st the potential for a Christmas tree route, then 11 miles, great run, and finally 128 average heart rate!!! Maybe I could manage that if I just went out for 5 minutes π
Thank you π yes, if I go steady it can be 126-130. I've kept running regularly over the past two years which has really helped π
Grimsby! Apparently.
