IIIIIIIITTTTTSSSS the Autumn VIRTUAL HUHM&10K πππ
Come on all you dancing kings and queens, raise those POM POMS to the sky and give a massive and most excellent shout out to our fabulous VRB's running wherever they are this coming weekend and week!!
Too many to tag in this post, here they are!!!
β In the HUHM Half Marathon we have:
00marks, Blackberrypie, cheekychipmunks, Cmoi, David_G (I think you already ran yours though, David!), Deals1, Frenc GoGo_JoJo, Guinea70, LadyGault, Lookslikejames, Maddee_6333, Magellan, Nowster, Over62, runningdad, SkiMonday, Stephen_UK, TailChaser, Week7, Sparky66
I'm going to try to start at 9.30am with the rest of you on Sunday, because running a long run at that time seems to suit me better than going out later in the day.
Thank you. Iβll probably run the first 10k of the HM. Just am so needy to want to be part of the crowd! π₯°π₯°π₯° Also just downloaded the bib! Brilliant! Awesome and Thank you!
Woohoo! Good luck everyone. I was going to go for a "fast" time but I'm in such pain right now I think I might just go for a "Good/fun" time. I'll try for 9.30 but not promising! ππ»π€£
Thanks roseabi yes, you're right - I did my HM last weekend due to other commitments π Very best of luck everyone - I'll be rooting for you!ππ
Yay, lots of VRBs at the Virtual starting line! I'm tapering at the moment as my HM is next Sunday. I did a nice steady run in a brief patch of sunshine earlier today, with a few kilometres at HM goal pace in the middle just to prove to myself that I could....
Good luck fellow HU runners! My HM will be decidedly hit and miss and I can virtually count on the fingers of two hands how many kms Iβve clocked up since the GSR! Still, itβs the taking part that counts so Iβm taking Jeff with me this one time. What am I doing? π
Go, go, go you wonderful crowd of runners.
Pompons for me, wiiiieew. I feel kinda special now. With me it won't be a fast time (just checked the results of some local races I wanted to participate in and got put with my feet firmly on - or rather IN - the ground), but I will enjoy it!
I'm hoping I'm recovered now. I'll have given it 4 full weeks off running if I can hold ou til Sunday. I've nothing on at the moment so it seemed like a sensible time to try to get everything back in order. Time will tell whether 4 weeks was long enough π€π€£
Woohoo. Good luck everyone. Enjoy your running. Iβll be going for the 10k on Sunday and hope to be in a good position to complete the half next week. Iβve been taking things easy recently so will need to see how the old achilles tendon holds up. Looking forward to getting out there!
Hi Roseabi, at 8am on Wednesday 17th November I will run that HU 10K, it will be my 20th 10K, I will wear my London Vitality Virtual 10,000 T Shirt, good luck to everyone who is running either a 10K or the Half Marathon.
Good luck everyone have fun out there! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
It's only just occurred to me that Sunday's usually hunting day round here. For once my "plan, what plan?" attitude could prove beneficial - I'll just have to see if, where and when they're shooting, and adapt my runs accordingly. Going faster will not be part of that strategy, though wearing hi-vis and doing even weirder routes than usual may well be.
Happy, pain-and-injury-free running to all, whether you're just looking to achieve your chosen distance, or going for a PB!
Good luck one and all.I'm now regretting that I haven't trained for the HM, but will enjoy the 10k. My plans to run at 9.30am on Sunday have been scuppered, so will run Monday morning. πββοΈπ
Oooh not sure how itβs going to go, but Iβll give it my best shot. And if it doesnβt work out Iβll try again next weekend! Best of luck all πππ.
Thank you. Itβs due to my own stupidity yet again but this one seems to be taking some serious time to heal. Hopefully wonβt be out for much longer
Thank you roseabi and good luck everyone! I'm looking after my mother in law this morning, then I'm leaving my car there and running home, but first will go up the steep hill to make it a 10k route!! So it will definitely not be my fastest but more of a hill train run!! Hoping to enjoy the Autumn colours.
