I'm going to try to start at 9.30am with the rest of you on Sunday, because running a long run at that time seems to suit me better than going out later in the day.

I’ll be running it (10k) with bigger shoes, so might just get to a 5k and see how my foot is. I’ll just have to see.

But will be using RunGo HU Autumn run (is there by chance a 10k version, but alternatively I’ll use the HM version); and the play list!

Yay, lots of VRBs at the Virtual starting line! I'm tapering at the moment as my HM is next Sunday. I did a nice steady run in a brief patch of sunshine earlier today, with a few kilometres at HM goal pace in the middle just to prove to myself that I could....

Good luck fellow HU runners! My HM will be decidedly hit and miss and I can virtually count on the fingers of two hands how many kms I’ve clocked up since the GSR! Still, it’s the taking part that counts so I’m taking Jeff with me this one time. What am I doing? 😂

I’ve overdone it since the GSR so it was almost back to square one. Rest this week, test it at parkrun and more rest next week before the next Winter Series. I just need to run less for a few months 😩xx

I'm hoping I'm recovered now. I'll have given it 4 full weeks off running if I can hold ou til Sunday. I've nothing on at the moment so it seemed like a sensible time to try to get everything back in order. Time will tell whether 4 weeks was long enough 🤞🤣

It's only just occurred to me that Sunday's usually hunting day round here. For once my "plan, what plan?" attitude could prove beneficial - I'll just have to see if, where and when they're shooting, and adapt my runs accordingly. Going faster will not be part of that strategy, though wearing hi-vis and doing even weirder routes than usual may well be.

Happy, pain-and-injury-free running to all, whether you're just looking to achieve your chosen distance, or going for a PB!

Thank you roseabi and good luck everyone! I'm looking after my mother in law this morning, then I'm leaving my car there and running home, but first will go up the steep hill to make it a 10k route!! So it will definitely not be my fastest but more of a hill train run!! Hoping to enjoy the Autumn colours.
