What a beautiful Autumnal morning for a half marathon distance! Completing 18k runs on a Friday over recent weeks to build strength and stamina to tackle my next half marathon has paid dividends in my confidence levels in terms of mindset and physical ability too.
I added on the extra spurs of the route to achieve the distance and timed all the k’s off in my mind especially working out the changes in distances from the 18k to the 21.1k along the route. I arrived home to be greeted and clapped into the house telling me I’d achieved to personal records and the local legend on the full salt line!
After a hot shower and lunch I’m ready to face the world again!
Roll on the November HUHM
Have a great weekend and Happy running everyone!

I too prefer running in sunshine. I suppose running in the rain isn't really a problem and there's a sense of achievement that goes with it but I still prefer running in sunshine.
Oh this looks like such a gorgeous route! And look at all those local legend records you broke!!!
Fabulous! Not just a local legend, you are my local hero!
I have reverted back to running circle 8s around my house for my 10ks (Merelake & Fanny’s Croft) but will venture out in spring again to salt line and canals.
Ah what a lovely post CBDB - it is a lovely route and you can play around with the distances too, it’s great for the feet when you come off the tow path and on to the salt line it feels as soft as a cushion! Keep on running and I hope to see you on the canal and salt line in the spring!
Thank you Sandraj39 the local legend always make me smile, there’s another route that I do where I have a friendly battle for the title with a with each half of a married couple!
