Excited!!! I am ready…. 👟🧢🎒🏃🏻‍♀️

Last minute packing, mostly done late last night and getting ready to travel to Bournemouth later this morning. I like travelling to events - adds to the fun and excitement! We have family in Bournemouth area so it will be lovely meeting up. Looking forward to a veggie roast dinner to celebrate my achievement (assuming all goes well!), my birthday (15th Oct) and my daughter’s birthday! If someone had told me on my 50th birthday that I would be running a HM to celebrate my 60th I would never have believed it!! 😲

Last Sunday ran 11km to test out replacement shoes and Tailwind (all fine) and only stretching and a little strength exercises this week. Busy week at school but not too hectic so feel rested 😊👍

So lucky to be able to even attempt this and proud to be supporting the MNDA……..Annie, my brother in law’s sister died earlier this year 😢

Weather wonderful today and forecast good for tomorrow, perfect running weather - dry, light wind, not too warm 😊👍

How kind of you, thank you. I only started Couch to 5km six years ago - I still can’t believe that I can run that far (although I may well need a few walk/run intervals after 10 miles!).

I know the feeling I did my first real HM a few weeks ago.Butterflies leave you at the start line-after giving you wings! Hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did!
