Woohooo!!! And a tip for sweet motivation

Big woohoo to all the racers amongst us! On Twitter I came across this little tip (see image) which just was so sweet (literally, as well as metaphorically) that I just had to share!

Good luck with upcoming races: Trail du Gevaudan, Cardiff HM, Isle of Sky HM, San Sebastián and of course London HM. And many more to come after that!

That’s a very cool tip CBDB

I’ve promised myself a snickers if I ever run a marathon ❤️🏃‍♀️

I have a “Marathon” bar, an actual proper one, from a marathon I ran. I keep it as a memento and warned my husband he’d better not nick it 😁💪.

That’s so cool. Running 26.2 and an original marathon bar ❤️

I know. Great touch by the organiser. Just one guy organises the event. His goody bags are ace.

Speaking of goody bags. I searched in vain last weekend to find sustenance in mine. No food at all 😱. A bottle of strawberry milk which was ‘orrible and a can of no-alcohol beer. Nowt to eat. No coffee available either. Not doing that one again ☹️

I was spoilt rotten during and after my maratrail today. Feeding stations en route had assorted little cakes, slices of baguette, biscuits, cheese, saucisson, pizza, chocolate, bananas, chopped apple, fruit compôte in sachets, and even the occasional gel. Drinks were still or sparkling water, or cola.

At the end, the "refreshments bag" included ham, a mini bread roll, a mini tabbouleh salad (carrot salad was on offer too, we got to choose!) a packet of crisps, an apple, a mini cake and a bottle of water.

And as well as a finishers' T-shirt, we got a free local beer!

It’ll be the most yummy snickers you’ve ever had, I’m sure! (The best buttered toast I’ve ever had was the one after giving birth to my son, which was a marathon of its own 🤣🤣)

Toast! Crikey. Did you go private 😁

In our ospickle “only ladies in Labour can have toast”. Obviously 🤷‍♀️😁

This is a lovely idea - but personally, it would just make me cry!!!🥲😂

🤣🤣 Yes, I can imagine it’ll be a bit of a problem, maybe sort them according to a ‘crying scale’? 🤣🤣

I wouldn’t be able to read em 🤓☺️

That's a sweet idea (pardon the pun)! I note that "Snickers" is enough encouragement 😊😊😊

I love this, thank you. As I'm attempting my run tomorrow completely solo 😢 I think I might try this. It might help me remember my why when it gets tough 🤞😊
