Previously, I've done a few virtual HMs (including the HUHM earlier this year). I've also power walked the Forest of Dean HM and an informal one mile race with a few colleagues. However, I've never run in an organised event so I think I can claim that tomorrow's event is my first race. Does that seem reasonable?

Definitely you are running your first race. It’s an actual race rather than a virtual. Virtual runs happen in virtual races and power walks aren’t running. Nothing wrong with virtuals; I have done a few, but I have only done one actual. It is a different experience; the buzz of the crowd, people to overtake and the unmistakable smell of deep heat.🙂
