Testing out a route… a bit further than planned!

Not posted in a little while as I’d had a few interrupted runs and some changes to distances through weather and a few days away. I have though still completed 3 runs a week.🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️ I have had it in my mind to complete a HM distance again and I’m slowly working toward this so this mornings run in cool damp conditions to my mind perfect. This morning was about testing out a route for the HM distance. Basically combining two runs together. The first 13k very regular Friday run route. The rest I have run before but in the opposite direction and once on this part there’s nowhere to come off at until where I was planning too! It’s also where when I did LEJOG04 and the virtual world met the real world at the M6 🛣- the memory made me smile this morning.

I’d checked the distance roughly on google maps and it looked like I’d be around the 16.1k as I came off the canal. I kept thinking as I was running it’s more than 16k to where I’m going and I was right it was 17.4K! No worries it’s part of a plan - I think 🤔 and I felt good that I’d ran well this morning as I met up with hubby who came to pick me up and had brought extra water, a glass and towel post the test route! How lovely to be driven home from a run!

Think I might have to go for that HM soon to get it out of my system!
