Thanks everyone for all your kind words and friendly advice I will let you know how it goes got to get through today first when we put my wife irene ashes in the memorial garden in the church across the road from where I live

Hello paul1960 , I hope that placing Irene's ashes in the memorial garden today was as you wanted it to be and that it will move you that tiny bit further along in the grieving process.

Even if running seems hard right now, maybe tomorrow you could just put on your running shoes and do a very short distance - even over the road to your wife's resting place. Then the next time you can go a bit further, and so on. I'm sure Irene will be willing you on.
