Hello again paul1960 , I don't know which organisations were involved in caring for Irene, but hospices, hospitals, and cancer charities offer bereavement services.
While I know they can't fix your loss, the tears and heartache, they could offer you support in finding ways to get through. At UK national level here's macmillan.org.uk/cancer-inf... and mariecurie.org.uk/help/supp..., for example.
Thinking of you, as are so many of your VRBS on this forum.
So painful. There will be a way through, even though it's not clear yet. Keep reaching out - either here or to support groups as Cmoi suggests or to family and friends if you can. Keep talking and sharing, it will help in a small way even though you might not immediately see and feel it.
Thoughts with you Paul.
Morning Paul. One step at a time. Literally. Cmoi is right. The bereavement services are fantastic. Cruze bereavement are available in many areas. There are online platforms available. Your dr and the hospices are good resources too. Its early days buy keep all of your lines of communication open. Have a virtual hug. X
Cmoi has given good advice Paul, keep talking, also good from people like 'mind' who can help you.
So sorry for your loss Paul. Losing a loved one is horrible, and all you can do is take it a step at a time and try to take care of yourself. Use the support of the great bunch of people on here, and when you are ready for a run, go for it.
I know we don’t know each other, and I may not be of any help, but you’re more than welcome to message me if you want a chat.
All the best
The people in this forum are some of the best people I will never meet. If you need anything just ask I am sure the group will be there for you some how. We can’t return your wife to you but we can help you get through.
Hi Paul
You will get through it 🙂
Losing our loved ones is so hard but day by day we get stronger. We move on while mourning our loved ones and remember them every day. We carry them with us wherever we go and whatever we do 🙂
I often think about my mum when I am out on a run, and know she would have been out there with me if she could 🙂
Irene encouraged your running, and looking after your health, and would want you to carry on. You have many wonderful memories and they’ll always be there for you.
Take your time with things Paul and look after yourself. You’re Important you know! 🙂
