Well tried out my new treadmill today. God that was hard work. It's meant to go at your speed however I felt I was going too fast and had to hold onto the handles. How do you add it on Strava? Doesn't give a treadmill option. Managed under 20mins as it was such hard work.
Hoping the remaining snow disappears asap so I can run outside.

No it's manual so goes at your speed so I obviously walk quicker than I thought lol. Will keep it for a while but may sell it. Trouble is it has to be a folding treadmill as don't have a lot of space. The current one is in the front room lying on its side.
Feel I will have to keep it for a while, as husband said the booklet was rubbish hardly any photos and the ones it had were not much help, so don't think he would be too happy if I get rid of it now after barely two weeks.
No I haven't. I will get my husband to alter it so it's flat. Just read a review saying that as the person was heavy their weight forces the belt to move quicker so maybe that's why I'm finding it hard. Like I said I will give it six months to see if it is still as hard, if it is I will purchase a motorised foldable one although hopefully the gyms will be back open in a few months.
Thank you. Hopefully altering the angle will slow the belt down to adjust to my speed. Hope to try and run on it at some point once I feel comfortable walking on it
Manually add to Strava if it won’t sync from garmin. Click on the plus sign then manual activity in the top left corner of the app and bang in time and distance on that.
Thank you but I can't quite see where the option is. In the first drop down box you put run but there's nothing in the second box except none of long run, workout and race. No treadmill option. Please could you show me exactly what the option is. Unless the former is incorrect. Is this on a computer? I have Strava on my mobile but this looks like it's on a computer.
Hi Pippa. Sorry about that. I have just gone onto my Strava and uploaded a manual entry. Then hit the tag for treadmill and then once that was done it came up as treadmill run. I think perhaps that’s about as much as you can do. Of course I deleted it as I’m still in bed having a cup of tea at the moment 🤣🤣. Apologies for not being much help to you. Hope you get it sorted.🤞😀
Hi Pippa again. Do you Sync your walk or run to Strava? Anyway at the top right hand corner there is a cross . Tap on that and you will see options. Manual Entry is the one you want. You can add your Walk/run there. Hope this example will help. Other that I don’t know where you would go short of contacting Strava themselves. I used to have a treadmill and would set my garmin to indoor run and then it would sync to Strava. But I have entered it manually too.
Good luck . Hope it works out for you eventually?👍😀😀
Don't have a computer except in the bedroom but it's old no internet connection and laptop battery died yonks ago so it's not in use. I have l don't have an iPhone just Sony Xperia 5
This is what I see when I select run on manual entry. If my watch is syncing automatically even if I select treadmill on my watch it still shows as treadmill running not walking as I did yesterday on Garmin connect.
There's an Indoor Walk app for the Garmin you could try - you would need to be able to keep your watch hand off the treadmill handle for accuracy though. Also I don't know under what heading (indoor walk, walk etc.) it would feed through to Strava.
Thank you. May have to wait until I have sorted out the belt tension. No way I can not hold on with both hands atm as I would shoot off the back and hurt myself. Will look into it though.
Yeah, don't want to do that! I saw a comment somewhere else that it might be ok just to have your watch in your pocket, but then of course you'd miss out on HR measurements.
As you say though, best to see if you can sort out the basics first! xxx
