Wowsers you amazing people!!! When everything is added in we are absolutely STORMING this challenge!!!
⭐⭐⭐ At time of writing this post we now have an unbelievable 2020+1186 km in the pot. In other words we have completed 1992 miles - just 28 miles to go! ⭐⭐⭐
S0 we will reach our 2020 mile goal with days to spare 😊
But we still have another three days before the end of the year.
⭐ Do keep your 2020 pictures coming - we have loved the strava art, spot on timings and distances and the really imaginative 2020 creations.
⭐ Originally @tjcp suggested the idea of a 2020 relay for the last day of the year (see the original post here healthunlocked.com/marathon... ). Can we make New Year's eve a day of 2020 runs and walks (20.20km, 20.20 miles, 2.02 miles ...?); do an individual 2020 by yourself or find one or more VRBs and record a 2020 distance of some sort between you.
Then let that be the end of 2020!!! On our terms. A brilliant, strong, team effort 👍
Massive thanks to everyone who has contributed to these totals - every single bit from every single one of you counted. You are all superstars!!!
Keep 'em coming - let's see just how far away from 2020 we can get. Post and comment below.
You can add in a 5km Jeff from me this morning. It started to snow just as I went out! But so chuffed as it took me through my 500 mile running target for this year😁
No...... today's 30 is in addition, its from my morning dog walks. Yesterday total was for afternoon dog walks. Hope that makes sense.Alfie hound gets two walks a day although they are different routes it turns out they are both about the same distance.
Hi Linda and running friends, I ran 16.5km by the seaside this morning🏃♂️ This also takes me over 1,000 running miles for the year so I’m feeling proud of myself!😊
Hi Linda. I thought I'd do 20.20 miles plus 20.20km to help with the challenge, that's a total of 52.71km and I have done 45km so far so you can add the 45km on. I'll run the rest tomorrow 🙂
The thought of this challenge was on my mind when I was deciding whether to run 7.5k or 11k this morning. Naturally I went for the latter, and the weather helped too!
So I can add an 11.01k run and a 2.31k walk to our tally for my total today of 13.32k. Woohoo, we’re going to do it! 🎉🎉
Edited to say I just read the replies and WOOHOO we HAVE done it! What an amazing team. 🥰👊💪👍🎉
So yesterday, youngest kitten and I did 5km each and Katnap and eldest kitten did 3.2km each, so I reckon that's another 16.4km.
Katnap will also be out doing his speedy run for the athletics club in a bit so I'll pop that on later. The further we can get away from 2020 the better!
6.64 walk from me this morning and off out for a short run this afternoon, ....amazing results from everyone, we are all going to need new shoes at this rate, or buy shares in a running shoe company or both 🤣🤗
Another 14.26km from me - a 5.4K run this morning, leaving me with a New Year’s Eve 10k to complete 20.20 miles of running. This afternoon we met up with a couple of friends at Belton House near Grantham for a walk and an in person catch up. It wasn’t a promising start as it was snowing where they were and raining at ours but we went anyway and clocked up 8.86k, with a stop for coffee and pasties 😃😃
A 2.02km (2020 metre) walk to the shops and back, plus a 2.51km walk to my parents house to drop off a birthday present for my brother (he is in their bubble) - 4.52 km total.
Hoping to do my last run of 2020 tomorrow - not sure how far it will be yet, but I just checked on Garmin and I need 3.75km to reach a total of 20.20km running for the 10 days of the challenge!
Linda, a few more walking km’s, 28th was 9k and 29th was 10k. Apologies if this message appears several times but the app has been playing up for the last day or so....
Hi linda9389 ...just a short, snowy doggy walk for me yesterday morning of 1.34kms and then a bambi (Jane Torvill in my head) style 4.59km run last night 😉
