Ridiculously hilly 10k trail this morning with OH in the beautiful surroundings of the North Downs way from Newlands Corner - St Marthas - Chantry Woods ( near Guildford) but a few walking breaks were needed on some of those sandy hills!!
We have both entered a trail race here in January and wanted to get a feel for the course, although I know the area well from a walking point of view. I seem to have progressed from 'undulating' ( quite hilly) to 'hilly' (very hilly) - not sure how wise that is but it will be a laugh once the legs stop aching!π Happy running everyone! π

Goodness me Sandraj39 that's some rollercoaster of a runπ that's got to be a great workout π
Well done on that hilly run Sandra, and nice that you got to run it with OH too. I hope you missed out on the rain weβve been experiencing on the coast.
It was great running with OH Dexy - and it definately gave me the confidence to explore a bit! And yes, the rain hit just as we got back to Newlands Corner - at the end of the run! π
Bit too much for me really Lindaπ€£ but sometimes these things are worth trying....π
Woah! Those are some inclines!! Great preparation for the run in January. It's great how you've taken to trail running. You will be ready for it and it's something to really get excited about and look forward to.
That is a pretty scary hill course Sandraj. I enjoy hills; particularly looking back at the run and thinking about all the good it must have done for me.... yep...probably better in retrospect!! π§ββοΈ
