After completing my longest ever run 17k on Friday and a brisk walk on Saturday I found myself close to the Clifton Suspension Bridge to complete the 200 miles marker. Today I did my brisk Monday 5k which took me over the bridge and sees me now on my way to Chepstow. Once this was logged my End to End postcard arrived!
Great challenge to keep me focused and continue to build my long run distance up to a half marathon length soonππ»ββοΈ

Thank you linda9389 running the 17k has made me think a little differently a as I sensed a change that I now need to take something sweet with me as I increase the distance as well as water!
I devoured a satsuma as soon as I arrived home π‘
Eating small amounts of anything you fancy/can digest on the run will help boost your energy during the run. Don't wait until you feel hungry though - try to pre-empt the dip. It takes a bit of experimentation to find what works for you. There are some suggestions in the previous HM group posts which you'll find in the pinned posts.
Congratulations!ππ Iβm on about 192 miles on LEJOG4 so not too far behind you. Iβm trying to runπββοΈ the whole lot, but Iβll have to see how I get on in the winter monthsπ₯Ά Best of luck completing the challenge. Iβll see you in virtual JOG! π₯³πΎπ₯
Thank you David_G Iβll watch out for you, Iβm trying to bank some miles before any bad weather so running about 20 miles and walking around 5 at the moment.
Well done Over62! Actually you would have been on the Severn Bridge between England and Wales - the Suspension Bridge is tiny. Iβm a local, and would hate for you to get lost! π
Thank you being a virtual buddy and sharing your local knowledge- Iβm clearly not a local here!
I love hearing about you progressing. This is another marker of your journey along the way to longer runs and JOG. All you can do you are doing and you should feel so confident!
