Woke up to heavy rain in BC, Canada this morning. Also had a dodgy tummy from the previous day, so not the most auspicious start π. Waited a while to make sure the banana was going to stay put and the clouds kindly lifted. By the time I got out it was pretty much dry and by the time I finished the run it was way too warm!
12k last week was a struggle, but back in my old shoes and inspired by Sandraj39 s post yesterday, I went out in a positive frame of mind - another 12k on the plan, but promised myself to try for 13k if I could.
And I did! Same pace as last week too (flat route again). The route was absolutely beautiful - along the lake, through houses so different to what I'm used to, beautiful gardens, trails, boardwalk ... I got a lift to my start point and picked up at the end, not even any doubling back.
This time I had my small fitbelt bottle filled with water and an electolyte tablet, and I treated myself to an EJB at the 6.5k mark. I did it!
Only another 3k to make the 16k GSR distance, this week it feels more of a possibility. Thanks to everybody for all the support last week. π
