Time to buy a new watch! Any advice?

My old Charge 2 Fit Bit has succumbed to the flaw of cracked screen. They have offered me 25% of a Charge 3 but not the off the new Charge 4 with GPS.

But, I know many posts here mention Garmin.

I really struggle to see anything on the screen of the FitBit unless I’m inside with my glasses on so as I’m actually exercising it’s pretty useless. I link it to Strava for data.

So, I wondered before I start looking, if anyone had any feedback, please? It makes a big difference to hear people’s experiences 🌸😊🌸

These fit bits are not worth it!!

The Running Channel on YouTube have a great comparison video.

Garmin are very popular. I've been looking at a 235 as a beginner watch but some have music on.

I have a Garmin 220 which I’ve had for over 6 years now and still love it, but there are loads of different models so you can shop around. I’m short-sighted and the size of the face was a big consideration but I can see the screen perfectly.

This guy is THE guru to go to for any sports related technology. His reviews are impartial, clear and brilliant so before you buy anything take a look.

I've had a garmin 35 since last July and love it and can always see the screen with no problem. Although my next choice would be the 45. 😊👍

I'm also a Garmin forerunner 235. Struggled to see my fitbit readout, but the Garmin is really clear. You can choose different watch face designs and you can choose what you have displayed on your screen during activities.

I managed to break a Garmin 235, replaced with the 45. It's simpler does record the data HR, distance etc, does GPS so all in not bad. Some of the data it produces is just gimmicky though as I sit here my body battery reading is 5/100 so I'm off back to bed!!! Seriously feel I should have spent that bit more and replaced with another 235 or 245 if there is such a thing.
