A modest distance for a Marathon and HM site post, but I think I should get away with it on my second runniversary; 2 years since I started C25k. My knee felt much better today (thanks physio), so the build up to longer distances can begin again. By this date last year I had managed 2x10k. This year I have managed 30 runs of 10k plus including 8 of 10 miles plus. So still progressing. Nearly everything I have learned has come from Health Unlocked and the moral support, encouragement and occasional (no, frequent...thanks VRBs) p*** takes have been amazing. So thanks folks. No cafe celebration today, but hey, that can wait π

Celebration 5k
Well done on your astonishing progress and a great way to mark today with such a great post! I wish you many more successful and happy runs ahead!
Wow! A lot of 2nd runniversaries recently! Congratulations on the passing of your own Beachcomber66 ππππππππ
Thanks Katnap. Had hoped to have a double celebration with Mondayβs 10 k, but there you go. I will settle for 6k on Monday and cook up some brownie for apres run. π
What an amazing runner youβve turned out to be BC! πππͺπ Always cheery, positive and entertaining all at once! What a fantastic 2 years youβve had - many congratulations on your 2nd runniversary! π° βοΈ πΊ
Oh, I utilised my βdiesel engineβ on my horrid run this morning, and whilst doing so I thought of you which brought a smile to my otherwise grimacing face! My slowest 5k ever, and I had to dig deep - but your description of me, plus my other VRBs doing virtual PRs, spurred me on in the wind! Thank you. π
Thanks CC..I think that I do my share of moaning! The wind was bad up here too. In my face on the outward run, but it blew me back home. 5k was 6:38 time so getting there. I was really worried that my knee wouldnβt get better..cue warm encouraging message from UTS πππ... but it feels better every run.
Well done on getting through it. Chipmunks have true grit!!! π
Happy Runniversary BC and congratulations on getting back to 5k. It is quite amazing to look back over what we have achieved isnβt it? The p*** takes do make it fun ππ
Happy runniversary BC! ππ»
Thanks Tasha. You showed me that I could run more quickly than I thought possible. Hope things are going well.π
(Hey Tasha, I have that medal, hanging in the downstairs loo!)
It was such a tough race! π₯΄
Happy runniversary! So glad to hear you can once again crank 5k out of the knee without issue. Soon be 10k, then 10 miles and onwards π
Well done Beachcomber66, and congratulations on your 2nd Runniversary!ππ
Youβve managed loads of runs so youβve got a lot to be proud of!πππ
Have a celebration today if you canπ₯³ you can always have another one once lockdown is finishedπ and we return to whatever the new βnormalβ turns out to be!πΎπ₯
Well done! It's good to look back on progress and achievements, isn't it? Glad your knee is feeling better, hooray for physios!
Thatβs great news BC! Happy Runniversary to you πππππ The first 5K after injury is always sweet, enjoy your way back now π
Happy Runaversary BC
5k is one hell of a better distance than either of us could do not so long ago!
Congratulations BC and glad that your recovery enabled you to get a 5k under your belt!
Have just realised that I started c25k 2years ago this week too - what are the chances?π
Congratulations Beachcomber66- you have done brilliantly and Iβm very proud to have been a fellow musketeer on that journey to 10 miles. I also received a message from parkrun this week congratulating me on 2 years of parkrun.
Happy runniversary Beachcomber66 ...your progress in those 2years is amazing! Hereβs to the next one πππ»πͺπ» X
