Solo running

It is hard to believe how used to running with other people I am now when a few months ago I found it really hard after doing all my c25k on my own.

Tonight though I did a solo run as the girls couldn’t be bothered to go and being at home alone all week with only the cat for company has started to take its toll.

I had no great plan in mind other than to run, get home and enjoy it. I knew I was working hard as I was very sweaty even in the rain but I also felt comfortable. I headed around a few roads with small but steep hills and pushed hard on those the practiced my strides on the way down.

Made it home feeling strong but also feeling like I had put in a good workout and was then delighted to see garmin telling me I had a new 10k PB :)

Gonna run at the weekend but nothing set in stone yet other than to make myself go slower :)

Happy running folk and stay safe x

Great run Tiggs, I think they'll be more solo running for the time being 👀

Perfect run tiggs! What a bonus to get a PB too (they’re nice aren’t they!) Keep on running and look after yourself. 😀

It was an amazing feeling and at the same time made me sad that the Bristol 10k is going to be cancelled as booking onto that is what got me beyond 5km in the first place. Happy running :)

I know, me too. It was my first ever chipped race last year, and I was so looking forward to running it this year too. I’ve entered the Bristol HM which is at the end of September and keeping everything tightly crossed. 🤞🤞🤞

Well done tiggs1. Looking at your other pb’s you are clearly on a roll this year, for distance and pace. Prepare yourself for more nice surprises 😊👏👏👏👏

Well done nearly all of my runs have been on my own. I quite like it most of the time. Music, me and my running.
