I guess there's still time for it to be cancelled. Make sure to stay in to the Orme side of the road rather than the sea side if it does go ahead 😨😨😨

I am volunteering at LLHM with Linda9389 in March and I have the Adidas City Run 1 hour in April. It’s not the end of the world, I will explore other race options to make up for this one.

Linda and I are going to try and do the 10K together tomorrow! Before the storms come, it won’t be the same but we will take solace that we’ve still managed the 10k for that event and claim our medal 🙂

We did our run this morning! We clocked more than the 10k, I did my furthest distance yet, just shy of 13K (8 miles)... linda did a bit more than me. We will be claiming our bling and we will enter next year’s LWR and hope it goes ahead 🙂🙂

No we ran round Abingdon. I’m still not 100% after being ill, am knackered now, and it was very slow, so perhaps it’s as well it was cancelled, from my point of view ☹️

Sorry about your run being cancelled Flick, I knew when the Met Office issued a updated Amber Warning for South East England for Sunday the organisers of the London Winter Run would have to cancel it, such a shame, that run is only once a year, but they say if you run a 10K you will still get a medal,

I'd rather enter next year and hope for a dry, calm and chilly day to properly enjoy the event as it's meant to be. The email says there will be a refund - wonder if doing a virtual run for the medal would mean no refund?

I have mixed feelings. I wasn’t really up to it yet after that lingering illness, but I was psyched up to do it and looking forward to running round a traffic free ancient inner city of London

No not in that weather. I just did the qualifying run for the medal and an exhausted - my first 10k since Oxford half - so I think running a 10k race was probably beyond me anyway

I’m kind of relieved on one level. Due to illness, I haven’t run 10k since Oxford half. This way I can run the 10k without pressure and still get the bling
