Three weeks and 7 Trots, bagged a 10k, first in a very long time.So 12 k loop next week and both loops completed.Both these loops will be trotted and combined many times over the next 2-3 months and 25 outings to hopefully get me to a 44k come the day.
PS.My mantra for this challenge,Enjoy and get home safely.

Absolutely! The's the name of the game. Lovely part of the world to run in. I wasn't a runner last time I went there. More's the pity. I hope to go back one day.
Enjoy those sessions! I did an 18 k today on road and trail. Took Coach Bennett, a goodly snack, some sweets (which I didn't use), and some music which I only turned on at the last two kms to help me up a bit of a hill which feels like a slog when you're tired
As long as we don't go mad and overdo things we can hack these distances, slowly progressing and chewing up the miles over time. If we don't get ahead of ourselves the runs are enjoyable and we can recover ready for the next session
I ran some road and trail today. the trail is vile in places so i found the least worst bits. I noticed that the car park had been properly surfaced. too many horse boxes bogged down I expect.
