I'm finally back! Haven't posted for a while due to coming down with bad abdominal pain before Christmas which made me end up in hospital, which was not fun to say the least! Latest update - I had my endoscopy last Monday and all the results came back clear which is a relief but the doctors still don't know what caused the pain in the first place which probably means I will have to have some more tests... I'm feeling alright in myself now but my stomach feels a bit off every now and again.
So this week is the first week that I've got back into running consistently and properly and so far no problems! I have noticed that I have lost some strength and some fitness so am going to spend the next two weeks just running 2K-5K at an easy slow pace to get my body used to running again. And then we shall see where we are after that.
I ran 2K on Monday, and then I've just got back from running 3K with a friend which was great fun! So refreshing after a 5-week break of no running! Not entirely sure how I'm going to fit in my Friday run because I have a job interview that day at 8AM (which means leaving the house at 7:30AM and I finish work at 10PM the night before!), followed by a very busy full-on day! Might have to do it on Saturday instead...

Lovely to see you back and glad about the positive news in terms of results. Take it steady and build back gradually. You'll get there - your determination sings out the screen when I read your posts!
Maybe itβs a food allergy. Mine was, but it took many years for it to be sussed. Not by doctors etc but by my nurse at work She pieced together the clues
I hope youβre feeling much better now and can crack on π
Oh wow, great that youβre back Redcello41 , and what a relief you had nothing seriously wrong. What are your thoughts re the Bath Half? Maybe a bit soon to build back up again?
Yeah I'm glad to be back too! I'm still going to aim to run the Bath Half even if I have to walk some of it or I wouldn't mind if I have to walk all of it if it comes to it. I'm gonna take it easy over the next few weeks running-wise, and then see how I feel after that. If I'm still not feeling ready to get back into proper HM training then I'll spend another few weeks doing easy runs and then build from there I think π
That sounds brilliant, and a really positive outlook. Good for you! πππ Hereβs hoping youβre fit and able to run most, if not all, of it. ππ€πββοΈ
Great news that you are back in running action. I like to get a clear diagnosis, but problem going away (almost) itself is a good second prize. Hope it disappears soon without lots of hospital visits. π
Yeah I'm glad that I'm well enough to get back into running and it's reassuring that my results have come back clear, but it is slightly puzzling that they can't pinpoint what's wrong. Maybe it will get better on its own. π
