Just signed up for the Derby HM.

Hopefully my December IC spell comes to an end soon so I can make a start. HM not until June

Must include some hills this time.

Thanks - I think the biggest problem will be knowing when to start again. Don't want to got off too early and risk longer!

Anyway Happy New Year

Thanks Floss - the temptation of the flat is almost too great. I think I need to find some nice gentle inclines in nice places!

Happy New Year 😃

I was trying to recall that HM that you did last year - that might make a nice day out - will take a look - not to do the HM (1 is enough for me right now) but for a run and visit.

Well I shall be doing the odd practice run there before March...quite a few forum folk are heading up for the HM or the 10K... :)

Already looking on Google Maps to see about a day out there and abouts. We often go through Bakewell on our visits to relatives near Manchester.

Brilliant plan :)

Happy New Year Richard. You'll make that HM in June, no bother with hill training thrown in.

Thanks Happy New Year - I know what to expect of the route this time so a few hills are essential. It's not that hilly but it has sections of long gentle inclines! Looking forward to getting back out there.

Good luck with the injury - you've lots of time there so no need to push too hard too soon 🙂

Thanks ... But running is now like an itch that you have to scratch every now and then 😉 !! But I know you have had your fair share of a spell on the IC. Mine should be pretty short lived I think. Started doing some exercises this week, should have started them straight off I think. Gradually ease my hip into action. I was limping over Christmas and at least that has gone now.

Oh I know exactly what you mean 😥I've had more than my fair share 🤬🤬🤬. If you've been limping, you're likely tight in places that aren't usually a problem. Make sure you really stretch and warm up well before your first few runs - and after! Good luck.
