Finally over the flu and trying to get back on track although I felt like an old lady after Parkrun this morning. Maybe a 5mile road and a hilly 3 this morning was a tad too much after nothing for a fortnight. My Christmas present - new bone conduction headphones! Pretty red ones! Excited to try them out on a jog tomorrow. I’ve been running with people the last 2 days, seemed a bit unsociable!

Bit the bullet and decided on my first half marathon. I shall be doing my thing in Milton Keynes on May 3rd. I was aiming for March but calendar clashes made it impossible. Still that’s an extra few weeks to get myself together.

I’ve got this!

Congratulations on signing up for HM! I'm also doing my first this Spring. I am very interested in your new headphones - Cambridge don't allow in ear buds, so I am looking for some bone conductors. How are you getting on with them? Which model are they if you don't mind me asking? Look like Aftershokz, but seem to be several different ones so any tips gratefully received. I saw someone with them at parkrun on Saturday but he was long gone when I crossed the line so I couldn't ask......

They are Aftershokz Aeropex. Quite pricey but they were a prezzie for Christmas. So far, so good with them. I run in the woods a lot so won’t wear them there as I like to listen. I find road running a bit boring so have podcasts, music and a wacky game called “Zombies, Run!” on. My ears seem too small for ear buds and you can’t hear cars so these seemed a solution. They are comfortable to wear (for me at any rate), the sound quality is quite good and you can also hear what’s going on around you.
