Literally just got back from running 4.8K/3 miles as part of my HM training! I went at a fairly reasonable pace and I worked out that I could probably beat my 5K PB on my next 5K race if I went at the pace I went today, so I felt encouraged by that. I probably did go a bit too fast for a training run so definitely need to watch it because the furthest I've ever run is 6K and I have a history of overloading my hip flexors and getting hip pain so I've got to be careful. Other than that, it was a great run! Looking forward to my long slow run on Saturday! π

Distance really builds up in a HM training plan, so save the PBs for your races and keep your training steady - look after those hip flexors π. You should find increasing distance at a slow pace really helps your speed over shorter distances ... just save that for later π
