HM training week15 day3

That’s it, last training run before Sunday’s half! And new shoes - replacement for my oldest On Cloudflyers that are knackered, have a hole by the star lacing, and I think were contributing to my knee problem.

This was supposed to be all in zone 2. Not a chance!! I don’t know if it’s pre race adrenalin, but I was utterly unable to control my heart rate. It kept spiking then dropping, and it stayed in zone 3 for the latter half of this run, with a big spike into zone 4.

Wild, wet and windy, though I managed to avoid most of the rain.

Yay! You got new Cloudflyers Hidden ! Are these the grey and black ones (like wot I just bought?)

Training done. You are a star. Now just enjoy the race! I cannot wait to read your race report. All the very best. xxx

You know by now that they are 😂😂😂 and thank you. It won’t be fast, given the knee, but I hope I get round, even if I have to crawl xxx

Well that's you all set for Sunday's run Flick, do a few light exercises tomorrow as a warmup, nothing heavy, have a good night's sleep on Saturday night and get up on Sunday morning fresh as a daisy 🌼 I think the weather on Sunday for your run is to be cool 14C/57F, there maybe some showers during your run, but not heavy continueous rain. I wish you well. 😊

in reply toAlMorr

Thank you Al. Yes rainy and cool, which is ok for such a long run.

I want to thank you for your support, by the way. You’ve been tremendous. You’ve commented and encouraged on every single one of my training posts. You’ve been fab Xxx

Great pics, I love the flowers. My mum calls those chinese lanterns, not sure what the real name is.

Well done on your last run, it's ok to break the "rules" once in a while :D

in reply tobackintime

Yes, I see lanterns. They’re seed pods I think. And thank you 😊
