70 minutes in zone 2 at 11.30min/km ... what fun. A few blips as I let my mind drift and my pace picked up. It’s both physically and mentally tiring. You can’t let your concentration waver for a minute or up goes the heart rate. It was pretty warm out there today too. However, it’s a beautiful day, and I’m having fun still exploring new routes round Abingdon, so I can’t complain. Lots of footpaths, cycle tracks and wide, tree lined roads and avenues.

Exploring new routes is my favourite. I found one last week. Took me down a little track into a larger area of scrubby trees and long grass where folks were busy picking blackberries

Fab. I’m looking forward to off road running once this HM is done
I like to stay off the roads where poss cos of traffic fumes. Hate noisy traffic and crossing it ☹️ My trail is hard though so I have to avoid the worst bits on the longer runs to prevent getting crocked before race day

I think my very slow hr zone running would be murder in rough paths.
