Only have time to do a quick race post from Saturday, but over 100 of us did the Great North to South(isle of wight) r#n organised by the local hash house harriers(vectis lunatics)!

We each got our official t shirt at The start!😊 The girls and boys each had their kit and snacks stored on a Double Decker bus that came to meet us at the end of each leg and we ran from the start in Cowes (Egypt point, most northerly spot )mostly off rd 7miles to 1st pub stop, then 6 hilly miles to the next, 4 miles to the next then a bit over 2 miles to the St Catherine's lighthouse then a slog back up the hill to the last pub where we took over the pub garden and had drinkies and cheesy chips! so around 19.4 miles total. Some runners had a pint in each pub it was quite an experience and legs behaved pretty well not too achy afterwards .πŸ‘ trail running definitely suits me better than roads😊xxx club night tomorrow and weds to try out the legs....

I'm an official lightweight so had drinks (water!) but only a pint of lager and lime (my mums favourite )at the finish! 😊xxx

Well done Ali - what a run! I do think that trails are generally kinder on the legs. You definately deserved those cheesy chips!πŸ˜€

Woo hoo fantastic aliboo! What a distance! Looks like it was a lot of fun, and has made me really want to try out some trail running. But maybe not that distance (yet!) Great running, well done. :-)

Thanks Sadie! I was a bit slack with training as had only done a 10 miler lately . Have been trail running most weds eves for last year and it's my favourite. Splashing in muddy puddles in the dark is lots of fun! My sports massage the other week definitely helped I think x
