Yesterday I achieved something that I never dreamed I would attempt, I ran a marathon!
The weather was relentless from start to finish and I was glad we had planned 3 loops, 12 miles, 8 miles and then 6.2 as this enabled us to change into dry clothes and have a few minutes of comfort for each lap.
I will never enter the London Marathon as the thought of all those crowds of people terrifies me so yesterday was my one shot! I had been training for my half marathon so just kept increasing my long runs until I had done 19 miles then it was faith my legs could carry me the extra.
Today I am sore but still feel elated at what I achieved just like I did when I graduated C25k on the 8th October 2019.
Our bodies are amazing in what they can achieve
Well done everyone on all of your running.

Fantastic!!! I didn't know you were doing it too. Massive congratulations - it's a wonderful achievement. Now to impatiently wait for the bling and the tshirt!
I entered the 2021 ballot yesterday, but the more I think about it the more I would like to find a smaller, local, closed road event. But that search can wait!!!
I only decided to sign up at the last minute as a friend of mine who had a charity place decided to do it and I wanted to support her. Fingers crossed for your ballot place, you will do fantastic I am sure
For me it is back off to the trails for the Larmer marathon in March 2021 all going well
