HM training week9 day4 - intervals

4.26km - 14mins warmup zone1/2/3 - 3 lots of 5mins in zone4/5 - 3 lots of 2mins in zone3 - 5mins cooldown in zone1/2

Still tired, though not as bad as yesterday, so this was hard. Average pace 9.16min/km so still not back up to my previous pace.

The good thing is that I always feel splendid after a run, good old runners’ high, no matter how hard it was or how tired I felt when I set out 😊 πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

I’ve run 132.9km/85.5miles this month. I was hoping for 100+ but the slow zone running puts paid to that!

I told you yesterday that today's run wouldn't be as bad as yesterday's, well done on running 132.9km/85.5miles altogether, (not today for the benefit of new people) that is a great achievement for you, onwards and upwards πŸƒ πŸ‘

Thank you Alan. Yes you did πŸ™‚ it seems to work that way.

Not too shabby getting over 130 km in the heat of August!

Thank you. Luckily I don’t mind the heat, but it did force me to run slower to keep my heart rate in the zones!

You're more disciplined than me. Zone 3 feels slow enough!

β€’ in reply toKatnap

You might need to tinker with your zones πŸ˜€

Come to think of that, and having seen that video last year, that’s pretty much what I do in zone 2. It’s pretty tedious and very tiring! 😟

Keep on keeping on Flick.

You are inspiritational and on an amazing journey and a little different.

Your fast stuff is still there, latent within you, and ready to use after your HM.I believe Pete Magill also it’s a myth that you lose pace with age.I know he has dispelled that and other things.Repair stuff and certain exercises for runners.

Thank you 😊

I’m slower than last year, but I think it was the injury that caused that. I will never be as fast as in my teens because of the injuries to my leg, and I’m more of a distance runner anyway x
