Week 6 Run 1

I can’t quite believe it’s week 6 already, the time is flying by. The plan said 6 miles of intervals, including WU and CD and we usually do this on a track at the club on Tuesday nights. Somehow it feels easier running with other people for speedwork. It’s comforting to know I am not the only one feeling like I want to die half way through. It was pyramid intervals which I had never done before so 2,3,4,5,5,4,3,2 mins each at 80% effort with 90 sec recovery. It gets harder and harder towards the 5 min runs and the only thing that kept me going was knowing that it got shorter on the second half. Also how can 90 seconds walking recovery go so quickly but when you are running 2 mins it lastsforever. Again, really enjoyed if after it was done!

You’re one day behind me! And those intervals sound much tougher than mine, though my ventures into zones 4/5 are 5 minutes each.
