I have used the C25K and Bridge to 10k and I am now looking to increase my distance, slowly. I have a place in the Great North Run this September, 1/2 marathon and the next goal is a marathon. Work commitments making training tough and I have never found any structure to follow so I my progression is very ad hoc.
I am looking forward to picking up tips and getting to know people here

Hi Carolyn, nice to have you on board! Iβm similar to you, having used both forums for help. Iβve recently run 10 miles by using a similar method to when I was working up to 10k, and I too am aiming for a HM later this year. First Iβll be running the GSR in October. Itβs all very exciting! πββοΈ
Good luck with your training and keep us posted how youβre getting on. π
Hi Carolyn, welcome! Iβm in for the Great North Run this year too. First time for this event and only my second HM having graduated C25K in November 2017. I regularly run HM distance in training though as I have Mondays free.
You should have time to get your distance up for the GNR. Are you following any plan, and how often do you manage to get out for a run?
Thereβs a Health Unlocked HM group on Strava if you use that app.
Welcome aboard! The main thing is of course to keep running!
There's lots of tips and plans here for HM, although I just worked adhoc adding a couple of miles each week or fortnight to the longest run which I'm still doing (up to 20 miles now).
