So three, nearly four weeks ago, I was helping a friend tear up a concrete floor, two days we were at it. The first day we generated a lot of dust, I mean an awful lot. Somewhat idiotically we weren't wearing masks. Remided that for the next day, but it seems the damage was done.
The following week I was coughing and spluttering like a thing possessed. Over the following weeks it's been getting better, slowly, but when I push the exercise hard I'm struggling for breath and recovery takes a lot of coughing.
Monday, during my weekly session with the coach attempting to give me a heart attack she was sufficiently concerned to suggest, strongly (okay, she made me pinky swear), that I should see the Doc. So I've an appointment for Monday.
Thing is, I'm only two weeks out from the Leamington Half. I'm pretty sure I'll be okay to put in a reasonable performance, but the sub two hour target I was aiming for isn't looking even remotely likely.
Really must try to be less of an idiot.
