Our internet is still off, apparently the exchange is broken. Arrg, get your act together BT. And naturally I went and dropped my mobile the other day, and the bottom fell off. So please bear with me whilst I attempt this post on my shiny new phone that I can't yet work...and on top of that I'm on a train among us way through Fife, which it turns out has very patchy Internet. I'll have to add the links and picture afterwards, but I promise I'll get there π
First out the blocks, it's Lordi doing the Helsinki City Run! What length did you go for Lordi? I've been a bit awol so out of the loop π¬
Fanfare for kwell39 in the Idaho Potato Half Marathon, which sounds amazing. Who doesn't love a potato?
Up next, Lorijay is running the Down to the Wyre 10k!
Then on Sunday, it's a double header with pinkaardvark and Madge50 taking part in the Hoohaah Wimpole Estate 10k
Our awesome roseabi is superheroing her way through the Heroes Run 10K
paul1960 is tackling the Great Manchester Run 10K
Lovely linda9389 is getting stuck into the Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run.
DiveMonkey is continuing the superhero theme with the Cape Town 12km (capes! OK, pretty tenuous)

You did very well on sending that post from Fife, when I enter the west end of Fife, Internet connection is excellent at Kincardine, occasionally fades a little around Cairneyhill but gets better as I approach Dunfermline, from Dunfermline past Lochgelly until you get to Glenrothes the Internet connection is fine, however, once you leave Glenrothes and especially after Kettlebridge, Balmacolm it tends to cut out until Cupar when it's OK, after Cupar until you get to St Andrews, nothing, even when the BBC was following the Commenwealth Baton round Scotland in 2014 there was no Internet pictures from that part of Fife.
Thanks Sqkr, although to be honest now Iβm just jealous Iβm not running the potato half marathon in Idaho! I wonder what the weather will be like? Will kwell39 be roasting or will they need a jacket...?
Hooray... pom poms are at the ready.... champagne is chilling.. go every single person doing their thing this weekend...
I have to make a special mention... (not favouritism though)...for paul1960 who has done wonderfully on his running journey... from first venturing into the great wide world of outdoors
Go Paul... do us proud...
And a HUGE, HUGE special mention to the awesome and amazing, Realfoodieclub without whom, none of this would be possible for me, and hundreds, and hundreds of us...
Go you .... cross that line and know each and every one of us are right there with you!!!!!
Went for the HM only in the end @Sqkr . I've been feeling a bit lazy so I offered to pace a slower running buddy to around 2:15 for an easy life - but he said "don't be pussy, you need to suffer to really know you're alive, and if you don't get close to 01:59:59 you'll have to move to a different town after telling everyone your legs were like coiled steel springs". So I'm going to go for a PB!
I have of course overdone the carb stuffing ritual quite a bit (but I knew that whilst I was duely stuffing) Am also experimenting with caffeine tablets tomorrow and so will be breaking the golden rule about not trying anything new on race day; in fact to hell with it, I think I'll wear the free event t-shirt straight out of the plastic bag for that authentic bleeding nipples look too!
Was actually 3 water stations in 4 mile so skipped 2 but did use 1+3 as it was rather warm
Came in 32nd Place from 266 Runners in 31.29 and got a new 5k PB along the way @25.23 not too bad at all and really happy with the times as the start is on a rather steep hill
