Oof it's another biggie. I had to get a coffee made just to get through this week's pompompost! Here goes, in no particular order (well, actually the order they appear in the diary)...
๐ข madmother has moved off the forum to the Bridge, but I think she still deserves a cheer for running the Warwick Wolf Run 10K! thewolfrun.com/autumnwolf/
Special mention for Runsome in the Rye Ancient Trails 30k. I ought to be running it as Beachy Head Marathon prep but I've gone for Hellingly 10k instead to bag some points for my running club in the Sussex Grand Prix series. Looks great - hope you enjoy it! xx
Thanks for the shout out Sqkr. We walked the 10k course this afternoon and picked up our race packs. So beautiful. Iโll def be in shorts as thereโs not much breeze in the Forest. Good luck to @slowloris and @acebiros in the HM and to everyone else running this weekend.
Thank you over61 - I am sure we shall. We walked the route today and removed all chunks of dead wood off the path, but there are puddles, tree routes and tree stumps, so Iโm not thinking PB. ๐๐
Wow! You amazing lot you! 15 if I counted correctly! Have a wonderful time in every possible way.
Looking forward to my 10k - the start line is about 5 minutes walk from house ๐ and the second half of the course is part of one of my regular running routes!
Good luck to everyone running this weekend - enjoy!๐๐ป๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐
Thatโs handy Sandra, the bit Iโm not looking forward to is our journey - not sure how many others will be heading on those single carriageway roads. Will probably get there far too early but canโt risk being late.
Thanks Sqkr and thanks to everyone for the PomPom shake. Iโll endeavour to do the forum proud. ๐ A gentle little parkrun in the morning wonโt do any harm before running a half the next day, will it...?
Good luck to everyone in their events this weekend.
Just leaving to get there. Will put some sort of report on later, ran 8k on Wed so should be OK. It is amazing having gone through C25K and B210K 5k is no longer daunting yet I can remember it being some dim and distant target!
It was hot, bloody hot! Hotter than expected! After a few cooler days it ramped up again today and it was 33 deg. Not only that, loads of long uphills, think nearly beat me. Started way too fast, then a dirt track section, lots of dust had me wheezing a bit, long slow hills in direct sunlight, short downhill sections. Did 8 k wed as using B210K as a training plan for October 10ks, that was no trouble but this was hard really hard. But I did it and got my bling! PB too!
Yikes! Thatโs hot to run a race in ๐ฅต. If you put up a new post you can add a picture or use a picture collage app to put up multiple pictures. Weโd love to see some pictures ๐
