In the discussion of beige trainers I let slip that I had a pink pair on the way. Here's the evidence – ASICS Gel-Cumulus 18.

I've moaned that the colour choice in men's trainers is boring compared to women's. In a lecture by 'The Fruitarian' ultra-runner, Michael Arnstein, he talked about wearing out a lot of shoes – he ran 15 miles each way to work every day. He had discovered that previous year's women's larger sizes are often available at bargain prices through online outlets and said that if you go by the cm sizing the fit is fine for men. He was right. I'm now the proud owner of a pair of US size 12s! (This 'hack' works for women too searching for the smallest men's sizes).

If you're interested, the ASICS outlet is accepting a code 'OUTLET20' giving an extra 20% off listed prices. Delivery and returns are both free. (I have no connection with ASICS).

As to the shoes, I'm a fan of the old-school design and wearing them for a 20 min recovery jog following 20 minutes of fast intervals I really appreciated and enjoyed the cushiony/pillowy ride compared to the current trend of firm but (to my feet) dead feeling soles. I hope you enjoy the pic and happy running! :)

If you look at it for a few seconds it looks like you are levitating.

No wonder they felt soft underfoot!!

Now you've pointed that out I can see it. That's hilarious – you've given me a huge laugh! :)

I usually think that men's shoes have the best selection of colours!

Hahaha, the grass is always greener. We must be looking at different brands because I see mostly blue/grey/black (Saucony excepted with their fabulous beige/champagne!).

Electric blue, grey, black, red, orange, green! And fewer soppy pink and baby blue options 😊😊😊 And don't get me started on purple 😄

The grass (or in this case, shoes) are always greener on the other side.

😍 love them! But of course, I posted that I would take 2 pair of pink shoes any day over unlimited free beige shoes. A bit of pink envy coming your way 😁. Of course if I tried the women's form of your hack, I'd never get pink shoes 😭.
