Really pleased as just went out to do 6 mile run but managed 10 miles. I’m training for a hm in May, so hopefully will be able to do it, it’s only March after all. Fingers crossed.

Congratulations Agelesslass on running for 10 miles when you only intended to run 6, that is a good omen for your forthcoming half marathon in May which I wish you good luck with, I know that you will be able to run that without any problems whatsoever.
Yes, I am going to keep this up now. Last week in the wind I only managed a 4 mile run, yesterday was ideal weather conditions, what a difference it makes, both mentally and physically to your run.
Course you'll be able to do it! Don't doubt it. Put the training in and that's it. Sorted. We have better weather to come too bear in mind, lighter mornings and evenings. It's all to look forward to. Go out there and have fun! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha!
My longest run before my first HM was only 16 km = 10 mile. In hindsight I should have gone to maybe 18km+ as a minimum because I died a bit after 17km. But 16km was enough to get me over the finish line however. You'll have no problem.
