I feel a bit of a fraud posting this here, since I haven't posted for a couple of weeks, basically because I slightly broke myself running 17.5k without insoles!! But I thought you might like to read about my first proper run with other people, discounting parkruns of course.
Thanks Abi, it's not the size of the gong though, it's what you do with it that counts Seriously though, I'm chuffed, really pleased I made it through in one piece. Can't wait to get back to the distances... hopefully soon!
Wow, look at that medal Neil 🏅😳 aww, lots of emotions there for you, but you kept going and what great advice from your friend to keep jogging a little when you reach a flat bit. That's great advice. Great going Neil and fab pics too 😊
Thanks Beth!! Quite an emotional day for sure, but this made it a happy one finally. Yeah, I never thought of the keep jogging thing, but I felt it working immediately, it felt much better than just walking, I was amazed!
