She said that by the last day, she was hallucinating on the Cheviots.
"I saw a pig in the heather, trees stretching and doing a morning workout in the woods, workmen doing stretches, a house appeared and I was very cold."
We've all had runs like that LOL!
Haha totally! That time I misjudged the John Muir Way and ran with the sun pelting strong into my face for 11k and got borderline heatstroke, and started seeing bumblebees the size of airships. It was my first running related hallucination but probably won't be my last 😅
AWESOME!
Great read 😃. She’s from Derbyshire so not surprised 😁. She comes from Royston Vasey 😳🤪. I think she might be from same area as Nikki Spinks (Glossop). The race started at Edale and finished in Scotland, so that was familiar territory wasn’t it, being as she now lives up there
All round exerciser, not just running. Anything really tough by the sounds of it. Brainy too, being a veterinarian. I love the photo of her baby, the one where’s she’s wearing a red beret and a Fairisle knitted top. It’s adorable 😍
I read that she lived in Minnesota a while, which would have got her used to the cold I suspect
It’s an amazing feat. she’s awesome 💪👍😃🏃♀️
Just amazing! Apart from the obvious - I also admire her for still being able to breast feed at 14 months!!!!!
The BBC report left out the important statistic - 268 miles 429 km Wow! And to beat the record by half a day is amazing!
Have been following the race on twitter - so glad to see it making it to the mainstream news! What an inspiration....and how grand it is that women compete straight up with men in ultras - Marvelous Mimi won Badwater outright, now Jasmin smashes the outright record in the Spine! I will be talking to my daughter about that race when she grows up!
Wow! I'm speechless (rare, I know 😂)
