Well this time last year I was 19.06 stone. Running never interested me. I had decided that I would lose weight and start running. I had done c25k before and got to wk6 but gave up after getting in a bad place mentally. Any way a year on and I’m down to 13.13st I completed c25k in April and have been running at least once a week. I’ve managed to get up to 8 miles and my goal for 2019 is to get up to 13+ miles. And maybe do race. My actual aim is that I hope to be able to join the reserve army (just need 18 months more) with no asthma medication) any way thanks for reading and look fed to meeting a bunch of new people

Hello 👋. Folks are lovely here, all running nuts and helpful, supportive types. We don’t take ourselves too seriously though as were enthusiastic amateurs. Plenty of peeps racing though 💪👍😃🏃♀️🏃♂️
I’m a former fatty, having dumped nearly five stones, then learning to run with C25k No going back 🙂
Racing is such fun 😃👍

Wow Notsobigdoug! Lots of fantastic achievements in a year.
I'm hoping to go into the reserves too as a musician but I'm blind as a bat so waiting for a medical waiver.
Good luck with your 2019 goals xx
