Very early in my running journey.

Just commenced running in my 75th year.

Loving it, and the best decision of my fitness life.

Basically this year completed C25k programme and consolidated.Approx 20 weeks total including both.

At 20km/week and building towards 30km/week and aiming to do a HM for the macular society in August and mark the arrival of my TV licence also. lol.πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

Wish to take part in the speed challenge.5k on a flat circuit.

Dream about getting to 6 mins/km and of course an equivalent time for the 10K.

Very slow at present and wish to try and come from present 9 mins/km to a considerable advanceπŸ€”πŸ™ˆ.

Last 6days have clocked 31.6km with good recovery. At this slow pace the hours are a bonus.

Unless I can pick up my pace, in a few months I will settle for 3x10k runs per week or build to 6x5k runs per week , just for the sheer pleasure and of course the health benefits.

Wishing you Atb with your journeys and running plans.πŸ’«πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’«

Well done and welcome... Your pace is your pace and its all good :) Its also good to have goals and a focus. You might want to break up your weeks runs into 3 different ones rather than 3 10k's. Like a 5k, an interval session and then the 10k until you start your HM training?

Yes thanks JuJu.

I have been doing that and will return to that.πŸ‘

I did my long run 11.6k last Sunday end of that particular week, and because away this weekend wanted to maintain my current 20k/ week on Tues and Thurs.

Will return to my normal single long easy run each Sunday.

Thank you for your advice and back on schedule next week.

Love both your mantras, but in particular your original, l am going to use it on this speed challenge.Got to try and let the lion roar on pace.πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Take good care of you.πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸ‘

Yeah. Just to give your legs some relief and also keep them guessing πŸ™‚

Beware of ramping things up! You are new runner, and if you do too much, you’ll get injured. So, take care πŸ‘πŸ™‚

It’s immense fun πŸ˜ƒ

welcome and inspired by your commitment, I thought I was late when I started running in my 40s, felt like a novice now, lol, another example to show that age is just a number :-)

Thank you are very kind.🌟

Not going to do anything stupid.πŸ€”πŸ™ˆ But I have a small window of opportunity to see what may be still possible for me.

Hope that whatever, it’s going to be a win , win.

Loving this running malarkey.

Take care of you.πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸ‘

Thanks for your positive response, yep agree stay within your parameters and more importantly listen to your body.

Running is such a healer, well for me anyway. I was loving it till one day i was told that i cannot continue my passion (marathons), was hard to accept that but got over it. Enjoying whatever i can, just like you, win, win.

Lovely words, delighted for your win win.🌟

Amazing healer, mind blowing accelerators , triggered by abdominal breathing and limited fasting eg.

Mind blowing. Cannot believe my level of ignorance for all these years.πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Hey ho, going for it now sensibly.

Let the lion roar.πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Take care of you.

Run because we can.πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸ‘
