Well had a great time completing my first official Half marathon at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival yesterday.
It was a brisk foggy morning which thankfully kept the temperature down. I really enjoyed the first few miles through Edinburgh city centre and to be honest felt strong through the first 10 or 11 miles. The last section seemed to drag on for ages but the support was brilliant and I was pleased to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
Completed the course in a time of 1.54.05 at which I was pleased. Now to consider the next level up to a full marathon...

Well done Gary, that’s a fantastic time 👏. I really like the bling.....quite fancy that.....I’m very tempted for next year as OH and I have wanted to go back to Edinburgh for ages (we did a trip a few years ago which was a bit short and packed....) it’ll be the HM for us though....
Having done the small run round Arthur's Seat myself the day before, I was then rudely woken up by the tannoy for the second running day, as the start line is literally just outside my door! I hung out in my window box watching the marathon runners go off, they use the same countdown as the 10k, so presumably also the half if you fancy reliving the experience It's mostly just a view of some bins but I'll post it anyway. I've no excuses really, I am going to have to do it myself next year.
