Today's update on my dithering - I have taken the plunge. My friend and I have entered the Saxon Shore HM on 17 June. Herne Bay to Whitstable and back.
She says we are going to have fun and I can have an ice cream afterwards!
My Asics plan generated. Preconditioning phase underway. It predicts a 2:10 finish time even though I asked for a target of 2:30. I am nervously excited.

Woo hoo, exciting isn’t it. I’ve also entered my first half but for October, given myself plenty of time 😂 2.10 -2.30 finish is a great first finish time x good luck x.
Yay! I said procrastination ends eventually. So that's Phase 1 out of the way (for both of us)😄.
Just like all the training so far - take it steadily and enjoyably and that (surely those?) ice cream(s) will be yours - along with the bling. Oooh bling!!! Best wishes.
My friend ran 10 miles this morning. I have a bit of catching up to do!
Well done on making the decision. It made me giddy with nervous excitement once I completed the application. Then you need to knuckle down to the training and get some miles on the legs. I found it easier once it became a part of my weekly routine. I have just received my race pack and the nerves have kicked in.....have I done enough, will I get to the start or will I be stuck in the loo, will I get a last minute injury or illness etc. Lots of faffage with two weeks to go. Enjoy this training calm phase 😁
