I ran my 10k Monday, which I should've run Friday. Friday I had to stop my Friday 10k run at the 5k because of bowel problems. so I swapped my runs around.

Yes we have to swap things about sometimes

Eating about two hours before the run is a good idea as it gives you the chance to “go” before your run 🙂

We have to be flexible in our plans

These things happens, and hopefully you can find a way to avoid similar bowel issues in the future. I agree with misswobble that flexibility is the name of the game, and even the best laid plans sometime have to be adapted in the light of reality.

I eat porridge 2 - 3 hours before running. I think it is nervous problem as I mostly have the problem before most runs, I use loperamide capsules. It doesn't normally happen on the run, thank goodness.
