Start of may I couldn't run 1.3 meters....tomorrow is my first HM 13 miles !!! Nervous but excited, and as long as I get past the finishing line I don't care about my time. Any helpful hints ?

Be kind to yourself. If you have to walk parts of it, don't get annoyed. Drink before you're thirsty.

And try to enjoy yourself. Good luck!

It is a bit soon I agree, so I have made sure to follow the training plan and will take it slow and steady to set a baseline for my next one. 🙂

Good Luck ! Try not to set off too fast . There seems to be a bit of a mad dash at the start where everyone is jostling for a bit of space .

I take some dried fruit chopped into tiny pieces and have that at 5k intervals with a little slurp of water with an electrolyte tablet in .

Enjoy it , soak up the atmosphere and we need a full report and pic of the Bling - it's the law ! :-) xxx

Start off slowly with runners at the back of the pack and don't feel pressurised to go faster than you're comfortable with. Maybe stop and walk for a bit at each drink station even if you don't take any other walking breaks. Good luck 🙂

Good luck!!! Not sure I'm too late but I did similar... I graduated in the April and first HM in October and I was ok.... best advice is to start slowly, use the water stations as markers of achievement and a proper opportunity to take a rest and refuel.... good luck 😎😎😎😎

I took raisins and almonds on my last long run, as well as some Haribo's which I'd don't really like as they are gummy in the mouth, oh and an electrolyte in my water bottle. You find oit with trial and error what suits 🙂💪👍
