Advice for running in Athens?
I heard you have to wear a toga.
Never mind the toga, that's the easy bit. Have you ever tried running in sandals without a heel-cap? That's going to be the real challenge!
Use common sense. Plan a running route that isn't too deserted and yet easy to get to from wherever you're staying. Run in daylight when there are people around. Hopefully the climate should be pleasant this time of the year compared to summer.
I've been sniffing around 'tinternet' to find places. My main concern is to avoid busy pedestrian centres and/or potentially risky places where I could get bugged, although I doubt it's the season, or that Greece is particularly dangerous.
I'll be asking my bro-in-law for pointers, but as he doesn't run I was hoping someone on here might have tried running there and found reasonably simple and safe routes.
I havent... perhaps I should come with you to keep you company
