Hi all! I am new here. I have just had my third injection for diabetic macular oedema (on Monday) and since then have had a dull ache on and off particularly when looking to the side. No other symptoms. The eye clinic wanted me to go in on Friday afternoon and I couldn’t get there in time! Hoping to attend tomorrow. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this? Worrying myself stupid that I have something horrible! It hasn’t got worse but also not better. Have considered A&E but seems a little extreme for a dull ache… any advice much appreciated! Thank you! X

Aching following injection
I remember having an achy eye as well I think it was just a bruising feeling from the injection it’s elf and all was fine. Do get it checked out though. Let us know if the outcome if you can. Hope you get seen today.
Aching is a very accurate description, I also get the aching sensation, some more times than another. I have had 50 injections over the past 4 years. I dread going and I dread the couple days afterwards, but I can still drive, read and continue with a life of vision.
Thank you for your reply and wow - you really are a trooper! All those injections. I hope you are gaining benefit from them and they are doing the trick? I attended the eye clinic today where I live and was in and out within the hour. Just irritation from the injection so I am feeling very relieved. Pleased to have found this forum as a result though! Wishing you well
Glad you feel better, the whole process is scary, but I am happy that we have a solution.
