Glad it went well for you. I had injections in both my eyes last week which went really well and the only way I knew I had had them was because of the blurriness. No grittiness or pain in the eyes, no floaters and no pain. Unfortunately I have the injections every 6 weeks but it is certainly worth it to keep my sight,

I’ve just started having both eyes done since last year ...every 10 weeks thankfully but the ones I had done on Saturday left me a bit uncomfortable and gritty especially the eye I had done first. Wondering if they should do a thorough wash out before doing other eye as maybe gives enough time fir any iodine to crystallise? Had a very puffy eye after a few hours so applied sterile ice pack and much better now but would have had to go miles to emergency eye unit if not. Never had that before especially with Eyelea but had a bit of mistiness and grittiness when had Avastin. Any thoughts? Thanks

The injection I had before my last one was sore. I know it was my fault because I opened my eye too soon when getting the iodine wash. I will not do that again. I think some grittiness is often felt but only lasts for me for 12 hours or so.

I’ve had many treatments now many with absolutely no after effects and apart from wearing darker classes for the glare just got on with life. Other times it’s been a few hours to recover but this was overnight continuous eye watering. Two days now and still eyes feel irritated. It was even my favourite injection nurse too who gave me my first injection and I didn’t even know she had done it so a good initial experience thankfully.

My injector did one eye first and flushed it out then did the other eye with new hat etc and flushed that out. So done as if doing both eyes completely separately.

Thanks for confirming that. To be quite honest I’m not sure if they flushed first eye out straight after or not ..they certainly did at the end. Been going through it and because we were all chatting my memory is as hazy as my eye sight was! Pretty good now though just a tiny bit irritating.

Hope it continues but do be prepared with lots of eye drops (I get Superdrug moisturising drops which have correct ingredients and I store in fridge) to wash your eye with for the odd occasion when it seems to be irritating and like grit in your eye. Not really painful but a couple of paracetamol help!
